PET Prep

1. Patient must be NPO (fasting) for 4 hours prior to exam.
2. Patient needs to arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment time.
3. All prior films must accompany the patient or be sent to us prior to the study.
4. If the patient is diabetic, we will do a quick blood sugar check when the patient arrives, as it must be below 200 in order for us to do the procedure.
5. Patient should anticipate being here for at least 1 –1/2 to 2 hours for the testing.
6. The patient is welcome to contact us at any time with any additional questions.
7. If the patient chooses to cancel or postpone the procedure, we must be notified by 12 – noon the day before or the patient will be responsible to pay the $600 charge for the FDG.
